Mrs. Theodora Twongyirwe Mondo is the Dean Faculty of Applied Sciences and Technology. She is a member of the University Governing Council representing Senate and a member of the University Senate. She is a senior lecturer in the fields of Decision Support Systems, Project Management, and Requirements Engineering and Object Oriented Design and Analysis.
She has chaired Mbarara University Deans’ Committee, the University Quality Assurance Committee and University ICT Committee. She has served on the Uganda Revenue Authority Board since July 2009 to date, as Chairperson of the Board Staff Committee and a member of Board Audit Committee. She has been on the Research and Education Network of Uganda (RENU) board since April 2012.
Mrs. Theodora is an Associate Member of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and a member of Uganda Institute of Professional Engineers.She is an expert in corporate governance, developing and overseeing the Implementation of Organizational Policies, procedures and guidelines.
She has received fellowships from the Netherlands Fellowship Programme, the Commonwealth Foundation and the Award for Best Management with Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering Student by the Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE). She spearheaded the creation of the Institute of Computer Science at Mbarara University as the Director and has been integral to creation of undergraduate and graduate programs at the Institute.
She currently serves as chairperson Mbarara University Quality Assurance Committee, Member of Governing Council St Peters Secondary School, Rwampara, Member Governing Council Uganda Technical College Bushenyi, Member of Research Education Network of Uganda (RENU), and is a Trustee and Chairperson Mbarara University RBS Board of Trustees.
