Josephine is an assistant lecturer under the department of civil and building engineering. She is a practicing structural engineer who has has majored in design of structures in concrete and steel, bridges and towers. She is a structural seismic analysis expert using sophisticated software. She has worked with major companies in Uganda like Veksons Engineers Company, Artisan Consults Ltd, Armstrong Consultants Ltd and is currently a structural consultant with Tetron Engineers Company.

She has a rich background from both the practicing field and academic field to the department of civil engineering. She has been mentored and closely and worked with Ass Prof Olweny Mark (Uganda), Dr. Lawrence Muhwezi (Uganda), Prof Dawoud Shenouda (Uganda) and Dr. Belgasmia Mourad (Algeria) during her lecturing career.

She holds a BSc. in Civil Engineering (2013) and a Master’s of science in Structural Engineering (2015) both of which were attained from Universite Ferhat Abbas de Setif, Algeria.

She has research interest in structural integrity designs, sustainable materials of construction and offshore structures.
